PISCES: THE RETURN

The last breath. The final dissolve. The ocean that remembers everything.

"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." — Genesis 1:2

Before the I AM, there was the formless deep.

The waters below and the waters above. The womb before the light, before the word.

The Dissolution

Every ending is a preparing for a new beginning.

This is Pisces. The last sign of the zodiac. The place where the wheel dissolves before it turns again. Pisces is the return. The exhale before the next inhale.

Pisces unites back with the all, dissolves into Oneness. Piscis is faith in something larger than the self.

Pisces arrives at the end of winter, when the world is still cold but something under the surface is already stirring. Snow is melting. Rivers swelling. Boundaries between frozen and flowing begin to blur. Solid becomes liquid.

Pisces in the physical world. Dissolution is preparation. Surrender is the doorway.

Element: 🜄 Water

Luminaries: ♃ Jupiter – ♆ Neptune

I BELIEVE

The Archetype: Water Dissolving

Pisces is mutable water: the ocean without container. If Cancer is the well and Scorpio the underground river, Pisces is the ocean. Boundless. Deep. Holding everything.

♃ Jupiter expands. ♆ Neptune dissolves. Together they reach toward the infinite, and sometimes get lost there.

Archetypes:

The Mystic

The Dreamer

The Poet

The Artist

The Escapist

The Martyr/Savior.

Pisces is sensitive, spiritual, and tuned to the invisible. It carries a natural affinity for art, intuition, and access to the unconscious. Piscis accesses dreams, visions, and deep emotions; imagination is vast. Empathy here is a super power. Deep sensitivity brings compassion. Pisces seeks to relieve suffering. Piscis can give selflessly, sometimes at its own expense, driven by a desire to serve something greater.

When overwhelmed, Pisces may retreat into fantasy or avoidance. Escape can take many forms: daydreaming, creativity, or addiction.

Light

Empathic. Compassionate. Sensitive. Creative. Intuitive. Spiritual. Gentle. Generous. Deep. Imaginative.

Shadow

Undisciplined. Indecisive. Boundary-less. Escapism. Evasive. Indulgent. Anesthetized.

Evolutionary Path

Transcendence of self. Realization of divine consciousness.

Tarot Correspondences

XVIII The Moon: Reflection – Piscis

The Moon is Pisces in its purest expression: the space between waking and dreaming, where nothing is fixed.

Two towers mark a threshold. A dog and a wolf howl. The tame and the wild respond to the same light. A crayfish emerges from the water, consciousness rising from the unconscious.

This is imagination, projection, and subtle change. The Moon illuminates by reflection. It reveals shapes but shifts their edges. What you see depends on what you carry.

In shadow, it is confusion, illusion, and misperception. In light, it is deep intuition beyond reason.

X The Wheel of Fortune: Cycles – Jupiter

The turning of fate, synchronicity, and cycles.

Jupiter in Pisces is faith: trust in movement without needing control. The Wheel teaches that rise and fall are phases of the same process.

The center is still.

XII The Hanged Man: Surrender – Neptune

Suspension by choice. A pause that reveals a different perspective. The ego inverts. Awareness expands.

This is surrender, not defeat. A shift in perception that cannot be forced, only allowed.

The lesson is simple: the pause is part of the path.

Venus is exalted in Pisces: Love becomes universal. Compassion replaces preference. Devotion is desire. In its highest form, this is unconditional love. In shadow, it can become self-erasure. Mercury struggles in Pisces. Logic dissolves. Language becomes insufficient. Pisces communicates through symbol, art, and feeling. The knowing is real, even if it cannot be explained.

♃ Jupiter & ♆ Neptune

Pisces is the water sign ruled traditionally by Jupiter. Cancer protects. Scorpio transforms. Pisces believes. This is faith. Jupiter moves toward meaning. Neptune dissolves boundaries. Together, they create compassion and confusion. Faith and fantasy. The difference is in awareness.

Jupiter is expansion, generosity, grace. Neptune operates beyond the personal. It's collective, slow, and dissolving. It works through time.

Pisces in the Body

Pisces governs the feet, toes, body fluids, immune system, and lymphatic system. It corresponds to the pineal gland, regulating sleep and inner vision.

The feet ground the body. Pisces rules the lowest point, as Aries rules the highest. Physical imbalances may show as fatigue, swelling, immune weakness, or sensitivity to environment. The system becomes too porous.

Cell Salt: Ferrum Phosphoricum. Supports oxygenation and immune response.

Essential Oils

Sandalwood: grounding, meditative, inward

Jasmine: heart-opening, sensual, devotional

Ylang Ylang: softens tension, invites emotional release

Clary Sage: enhances dreamwork, calms mental noise

Myrrh: supports grief, transition, and emotional depth

Simple Meditation

Best at dusk, during Pisces season, or on a Thursday.

Place a drop of sandalwood on your palms. Rub gently and bring hands to your face.

Take three slow breaths.

Sit or lie down. Gently rub your feet. Feel the contact with the ground.

Close your eyes. Let your edges soften. Stay present.

Ask: What am I willing to release?

Wait. Let the answer come without forcing it.

When it does, let it go.

Pisces is where the zodiac ends and begins again.

After all movement, effort, and identity, the soul returns to the ocean. Everything dissolves. What remains is essence. The wheel turns.
